That means sixteen-hour days and lots of windshield time this time of year. I spent Monday and Tuesday in a constant state of travel, because the Postseason Push has arrived, and it is our job to meet it as best we can with the resources that we have at our disposal. It has been an eventful and extremely busy week around here. And once the season is completely done, we will move into the business of Awards Week and All Do-or-Die Teams dropping sometime in December. The longer we still have teams involved in the football season, the longer this column continues to exist (albeit in truncated form with less ground to cover.) With any luck, a few of you will carry us past the Thanksgiving Holiday, perhaps even give us a Championship or two to cover. And for those of you with reason to continue to keep checking in here every week moving forward, I wish you every success moving forward. We truly do appreciate your support and patronage. I'll take this opportunity to thank all of you who have been along for the journey to this point. With seasons drawing to a close for many of the teams in our area, this column will take a very different form in the coming weeks as we morph into Playoff Mode. Welcome to DUERRISMS for the Week of October 20th. And just like that.we've reached the final week of the High School Football Regular Season.
